2008 Social Security Annual Wage Reporting
Attention all employers and W-2 filers! Important information for large, small and domestic employers, payroll managers, accountants, bookkeepers, human resource personnel, and third-party preparers is available in your local area. Find out everything you need before the year comes to a close. A Social Security representative will provide updated information about all aspects of the annual wage reporting process as well as detailed information about the electronic submission of W-2 reports, regardless of report size. Other topics to be discussed include options available to employers for verifying employees’ names and Social Security numbers, including online verification, the reconciliation of Form 941 tax data with Form W-2 wage data, common errors in wage reports, and ways to avoid these errors and possible penalties.
